THE POSITION
The Senior Project Accountant responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and analysis of business performance, as well as implementation and review of compliance with administrative processes. The Division Controller will partner with the Branch Managers and Regional Vice President to develop and employ strategies to improve financial performance through forecasting, budgeting and month end reviews.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Accurate and timely preparation of branch and region P&L statements
- Develop and monitor branch and region budgets and forecasts
- Lead branches through the month end close process
- Coach and mentor branch teams to understand their financial performance and the tools available to help them run a profitable business
- Oversight of branch level administrative processes including but not limited to accounts receivable, billing, purchasing, accounts payable and payroll
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Four-year accounting or related degree, or equivalent experience4-6 years of general accounting experienceKnowledge of accounting principles and systems – command of journal entriesAdvanced proficiency in ExcelAnalytical ability and business acumenCommunication and leadership skillsDecision-making and reasoning skillsDESIRED CHARACTERISTICS AND ATTRIBUTES
