Location : Pacific, WA (Onsite with Frequent Job Walks)

Employment Type : Full-time, Direct Hire

Salary : $95,000$140,000 (commensurate with experience)

Schedule : Flexible start between 7 : 008 : 00 AM; typical end time 4 : 005 : 00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This is a key role focused on accurate cost estimation for commercial electrical projects ranging from $150K to $5M. Youll be actively involved in job walks, preconstruction meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with Project Managers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, personable, and thrives in a team-first, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects (no residential work).
  • Attend job walks and pre-construction meetings to assess project scope and conditions.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and design documents to build accurate take-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth project handoffs.
  • Use estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel) to produce scalable estimates.
  • Stay up to date with NEC and local codes and jurisdictional requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial electrical estimating (no residential).
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar takeoff / design tools (training provided for Bluebeam University if needed).
  • Familiarity with estimating software (Acubid and Procore experience a plus but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and regional electrical codes.
  • Local candidate preferred; if relocating, must have ties to the Pacific Northwest.

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience working in both pre-construction and project support phases.
  • Career Path

    This role has strong growth potential . The right person could evolve into a Director or VP-level position , potentially helping build out an estimating team or managing engineering support down the road.
