About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Capital Giving to join their team. The successful candidate will be a bold, strategic, and results-oriented fundraising leader with a proven track record in securing significant philanthropic investments. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing a personal portfolio of principal gift prospects and providing strategic direction to three fundraising teams : Corporate Philanthropy, Foundation Relations, and Planned Giving. The role involves setting and managing strategic priorities, ensuring donor engagement and revenue targets are met, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 15 years of senior-level fundraising experience, and a deep understanding of complex donor strategies and institutional partnerships. Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President, Capital Giving include strategic leadership and team management, overseeing the College's principal and transformational gift portfolio, and providing strategic oversight into corporate philanthropy, foundation relations, and planned giving. The role requires a candidate with strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills, as well as the ability to inspire and develop talent within the Development Office. The candidate should be a seasoned frontline fundraiser, with the ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through tailored engagement plans. Collaboration, innovation, and the ability to work with a multicultural community are essential. The role demands an individual with outstanding communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills, who is also conversant in planned giving opportunities and can engage donors in meaningful conversations about their philanthropic impact.
