Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable operations. Responsibilities :

• Match invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts to ensure accurate processing.
• Accurately code invoices and verify their compliance with company policies.
• Process a high volume of invoices daily, ranging from 500 to 1,000 across multiple locations.
• Handle vendor payments promptly and efficiently, including managing freight invoices.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams such as purchasing and shipping / receiving departments.
• Utilize SAP Business One software and perform basic Excel tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts payable activities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes as required.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and issues related to invoices and payments. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.
• Familiarity with SAP Business One or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Excel to manage and organize data.
• Ability to handle a high volume of invoices with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
