Position Overview

The VP of Operations is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations with a focus on enhancing efficiency and profitability. This leadership role involves strategic planning, managing operational processes, and ensuring that teams are aligned with the company's goals, particularly in commercial painting projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability in commercial painting projects.
  • Oversee the management of project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Lead and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue growth opportunities within the commercial painting sector.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular job walks to assess project progress and quality, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Manage change orders effectively, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior operational role, preferably in the commercial painting industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, project management, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the painting industry is essential.
  • Experience with job walks, change orders, and project adjustments is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
