Children's Art Class Instructor
Provo City's Recreation Center is seeking a part-time community programs instructor to run children's programs at the Recreation Center including Art Instruction and assisting with Tumbling Tots supervision. This position involves working with children, toddlers, and their parents to explore artistic expression. Pay Rate : $12.00 - $15.00 per hour, depending on experience. What are the hours?
An average of 20-25 hours per week. Art class schedule will be set by instructor and supervisor. Evening hours will be required. Tumbling Tots classes are held Monday and Wednesday, 9 : 00 a.m. to 1 : 00 p.m.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work, including standing for extended periods of time, the ability to get up and down from the floor repeatedly, ability to lift up to 25lbs, and other varied activities associated with performing the essential duties.
What is the selection process?
This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration. If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
