job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEnsure design coherence and use the design system : Improve the quality of our digital experiences by using the design system and consistent interaction design patternsApply brand guidelines consistently across mobile and web platforms Collaborate with product development : Appropriately inclusive of software development in the design processCollaborate with other designers, software engineering, analytics, and QA teammates to bring ideas to life and products to market 4+ years of digital product design experience, inclusive of mobile app design, web design, and design systems 2+ years of experience designing enterprise-level e-commerce applications (web and / or native app) Portfolio inclusive of digital project work showing end-to-end experience : from ideation to launch Education or training in visual design, graphic design, or related field High level of visual design skills with ability to create polished, aesthetically pleasing interfaces Experience with brand development, implementation, and maintenance Demonstrated ability to work rapidly and efficiently, turning concepts into prototypes with quick turnaround Specialized experience designing for mobile app platforms (iOS and Android) Familiarity with the full digital product lifecycle, using product roadmaps, story mapping, writing design stories, designing features, direct collaboration with development teams Proficient knowledge of : Design & prototyping toolsCollaboration tools Global design systemsResponsive design best practicesBrand identity implementation and maintenance Ability to generate, visualize and prototype new concepts to demonstrate and test with users and stakeholders Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing / keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping May require occasional lifting / lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lb
Overview
Digital Product Designers at Southern Glazer’s work with one or more product portfolios and generally in pairs with a senior product designer, reporting to the Director, Digital Product Design.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ideate and develop design concepts
- Understand the product's users and their needs and buying habits
- Lead problem-framing & ideation sessions
- Lead design concepting and storyboarding to map out ideas
- Create design hypotheses and explore divergent ideas and potential solutions
- Prototype and iterate : Create user flows, storyboards, high quality wireframes, low and high-fidelity design prototypesRapidly transform concepts into functional prototypes for quick validationCollaborate with design researchers to continuously learn & iterate design work
- Present design work : Support design reviews with executive-level colleagues by creating prototypes and presentationsProvide solid rationale for design decisionsMake compelling and persuasive presentation of ideas, concepts, and in-progress design work
