Position Summary :

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Level 1 IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support for our dealership staff across all departments, including sales, service, parts, and accounting. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues, escalate more complex problems, and assist with day to day technology needs that support smooth dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (Windows-based).

Respond to helpdesk tickets, in person requests, or phone / email support from dealership employees.

Troubleshoot issues related to email, internet access, office applications, and peripheral devices.

Assist with onboarding / offboarding tasks, including user account creation, email setup, and equipment assignment.

Support dealership systems such as scheduling software, OEM-specific applications, and diagnostic tool connectivity.

Escalate complex issues to Level 2 / 3 support or external vendors as appropriate.

Maintain inventory and organize IT assets such as PCs, tablets, phones, and network hardware.

Provide basic support for dealership Wi-Fi and local area network connections.

Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and antivirus checks.

Document problems, solutions, and work performed in the ticketing system.

Qualifications :

1+ year of IT support experience (helpdesk, desktop support, or similar).

Basic understanding of Windows 10 / 11, Microsoft Office 365, and networking fundamentals.

Familiarity with remote desktop tools, printer configuration, and user account management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Willingness to learn dealership specific systems and processes.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to other dealership locations in Salt Lake City and West Valley as needed.

Preferred (Not Required) :

Experience in a car dealership or automotive environment.

Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or Intune.

Basic understanding of VOIP phone systems and video surveillance equipment.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Occasionally crawl under desks or access equipment in high or tight spaces.

Work Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (occasional evenings or weekends during special events or emergencies)
