Associate Pastor of Community Life

Job Description :

Purpose : The role of the Associate Pastor of Community Life is to assist the Lead Pastor in carrying out the mission of the church by fostering a disciple-making community.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the Life Group Ministry.
• Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to Life Group leaders.
• Provide pathways for church members and guests to develop deeper and more meaningful relationships through programs such as Bible Studies, small groups, retreats, conferences, special events, hospitality, etc.
• Develop volunteers and provide opportunities for them to serve our church community and the community at large.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Collaborate with members of our staff in planning the annual ministry calendar.
• Preach God’s Word periodically as part of the pastoral preaching team.
• Report directly to the Lead Pastor.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Qualifications :

Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to servant leadership and healthy relationships in the body of Christ.

Has a pastoral heart and is passionate about seeing people become connected to the church.

Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree required, MDiv preferred, and minimum 3 years vocational ministry experience.

Affirms the Statement of Faith of EFree Church Diamond Bar.
