POSITION SUMMARY

Pages provide courteous and efficient customer service to community members. Pages provide support to library staff and users, primarily through keeping the collection in order, assist with day to day materials operations, and assisting paraprofessional staff with events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist paraprofessional and clerical staff with set-up and tear-down of events, exhibits, and presentations.
• Empty drop box and clear materials from patron account.
• Sort and process deliveries for pickup or shelving.
• Shelve materials and maintain order of collection.
• Locate and prepare items on daily lists.
• Retrieve items from shelves for reports.
• Prepare and execute opening, midday, and / or closing procedures for library.
• Light cleaning and / or picking up litter outdoors.
• Prepare, update, and remove displays of special collections, ensuring item's catalog location matches shelf location.
• Other duties as assigned.
