I. Summary of the position : The Rock RMS Developer is instrumental in supporting BRAVE Church’s mission by configuring, maintaining, and evolving the Rock RMS platform. This individual serves as the key point of contact for church database operations, enabling effective event management, workflow automation, content, updates, and system training. The administrator ensures Rock RMS runs efficiently, securely, and strategically empowering ministry teams through tailored digital solutions. II. Experience and Knowledge Required :
- 2+ years of experience with Rock RMS or equivalent church management systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, workflows, user permissions, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, C#, .NET, Lava, JavaScript, SQL, and Java (preferred).
- Experience with web analytics and SEO (preferred).
- Proven ability to align ministry goals with digital solutions and implementations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and technical support.
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Church or ministry experience (preferred). III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Rock RMS Administration
- Maintain and optimize data integrity and platform modules : user records, groups, check-in, dashboards, communications, registrations.
- Build workflows, forms, surveys, and automation to support ministry efficiency.
- Manage system permissions and security across user groups.
- Ensure system reliability through timely updates, monitoring, and backups. Data & Reporting
- Uphold data accuracy, resolve duplicate entries, and audit records.
- Create custom reports and dashboards to support ministry insights. Event & Registration Support
- Build and manage online registration forms, payment flows, and communication templates.
- Partner with ministry leaders to meet event needs with functional digital tools. Website & Communications
- Collaborate with the marketing team to update website content via Rock CMS.
- Coordinate with the communications team to design and schedule SMS / email campaigns. Training & Support
- Provide technical support for staff and volunteers using Rock RMS.
- Conduct training for new users and assist with onboarding processes
- Develop user-friendly guides and document training for processes and onboarding staff and volunteers. Strategic Development
- Stay current with Rock RMS community updates, plugins, and best practices.
- Recommend improvements for efficiency, usability, and customization to improve workflow.
- Collaborate with IT or external developers on advanced solutions or integrations. Sunday Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-service system checks and troubleshoot live issues.
- Provide tech assistance during services—including check-in stations and media devices.
- Support attendees with app or tech-related concerns.
- Assist with setup / breakdown and technical support for special events. Other Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, implementation, and technical support for scheduled special events.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of technical equipment needed for special events or services.
