In this position...
- The Senior Specialist, Total Rewards-Compensation, in support of a key high-tech area of the business and with limited supervision, will be the expert on matters pertaining to Compensation, advising HR and leaders and consulting with teams on salary structure, competitiveness, etc. to enhance attraction, retention, and satisfaction of the employees across the organization.
- The role will assist HR Business Partners, managers, and directors in the execution of Compensation programs, such as compensation analysis, design, policy management, etc., with fairness and consistency in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Assist managers and directors in the execution of the organization's compensation programs, including salary structures, compensation policies, and competitive analyses.Conduct compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the company's pay practices remain competitive. Provides guidance on salary offers, promotions, retention, and salary adjustments based on internal equity and external market data.Assist with interpreting relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compensation compliance and mitigate potential risks. Provides interpretation in areas where policy, procedure, or requirements are unclear.Participate in creating training materials and holding office hours to increase employee and management understanding and appreciation of compensation information and programs. Supports and trains internal partners such as People First (HR Administration Team) and Talent Acquisition teams on compensation policy and programs.Collaborate and consult with stakeholders across the enterprise (e.g., HR Business Partners, Payroll, legal, talent acquisition, etc.) to understand challenges and opportunities pertinent to compensation and to provide expertise / guidance. Generates insights and helps translate them into a plan for delivering actionable results.Own or assist in the project management and delivery of compensation-related special projects, solutions, and procedures to help address complex problems that are consistent with organizational objectives and long-term strategy.Provide analytical support for special projects, such as compensation studies, workforce trends, etc. Collaborates with stakeholders to generate compensation reports and insights for HR and business leadership, utilizing HRIS, surveys, and other data sources, as well as various analytical tools like Excel and Power BI, to gather and analyze compensation data.Assist with annual Compensation Planning Cycle administration and consulting for the U.S. (e.g., return from leaves, special situations, manual calculations, auditing, etc.)Demonstrate expertise in Total Rewards subjects such as compensation competitiveness, employee engagement, etc. along with a strong understanding of related concepts and principles. Coaches and guides stakeholders on matters related to Total Rewards.Qualifications

Bachelors DegreeTechnology / software industry experience requiredMinimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in Total Rewards, HR Business Partner role, or a related field.Oracle HCM experience preferredDemonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to manage complex projectsStrong communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve objectivesFlexible / adaptable / calm in fast-changing situationsWorking knowledge of compensation planning preferredInvolves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time. Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc. Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions. This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
