Mail Clerk
Location : Miami Gardens, Florida
Contract Duration : 7 months
Overview of the Role :
Opens and classifies payment mail on high-speed mail opening equipment. Meet department performance standards for speed and accuracy. Must be willing to work extended hours when needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operates equipment that sorts envelopes with customer payments based on business rules and delivers to the next processing step
- Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment as needed
- Operates high speed mail processing equipment to open envelopes, extract content, and image documents to process payments
- Operates rapid extraction machinery efficiently to process exceptions that cannot be handled through high speed equipment
- Uses vendor software to complete simple keying functions to apply customer payments or route change of address requests
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Must work be willing to work a rotating shift across Monday to Saturday
- Work is physical in nature
- Must be able to lift trays of 10 to 15 lbs.
