Embedded Engineer Supporting a new military contract!

Job Description

We have a new military contract and seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers to support development efforts. This role offers the potential for hybrid flexibility and is primarily a contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for motor control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with DO-178 Design Assurance Level C standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet project milestones.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and documentation processes.
  • Support integration and validation of embedded systems in military-grade applications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience in embedded software development, particularly in motor control.
  • Must have strong understanding of DO-178C compliance and safety-critical software practices.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry standards.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level hardware interfaces.
  • Knowledge of C / C++ and embedded development tools.
  • Experience with motor control design and motor controllers.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and DO-178.
  • Familiarity with embedded development tools.
  • Work Environment

    The position is onsite, with locations available in Elyria, OH, Akron, OH and Mentor, OH. It offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for collaboration across engineering teams. The role may include hybrid flexibility depending on project needs.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $63.00 / hr.
