Middleware Administrator

Must Have Technical / Functional Skills

• Should have a experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (7.x / 8.x / 9.x) Product Installation, Configuration, Deployment and Administration on heterogeneous systems like Linux and Windows environment with different versions of WebSphere Application Server and Portal Server.
• Should have a strong knowledge Installation and configuration on all the IBM products like WCS, Portal Server, Data Power, IBM MQ. Infosphere Server, Documentum and Websphere interchange Server.
• Should have Installed IBM Maximo Asset Management product on heterogeneous systems like Linux and windows environments.
• Need to be Involved in creating and configuring cells, nodes, profiles, and clusters for WebSphere Application Server.
• Should have hands on experience in Deployment of J2EE applications (EAR / WAR / JAR) on WebSphere Application Servers.
• Need to Configure WebSphere Recourses like JDBC Providers, Data Sources, JMS Queues.
• Should have experience in Installing, Configuring and Administering Web Servers like IBM Http Server (Client), Apache Web server and configuration of Web Server Plug-in.
• Generate new plug-in under web server definition management and moving Plug-in configuration file to Client Web server to establish communication between Web server and Web Sphere.
• Should have Experience in integrating WebSphere Application Server and Deployment manager with IBM Http server, Oracle database.
• Good to have a experience in applying Fix packs for all versions of WebSphere application server and different flavors of Web Servers.
• Creating for new store in WCS.
• Strong knowledge on Data loader.
• Knowledge in Updating fix pack and feature pack on WCS.
• Should Have a good knowledge on WCBD ant script.
• DataPower services - Web service proxy, Multiprotocol gateway, XML firewall and Web application firewall.
• Project related certificates upload and certificate renewals in DataPower and meetings with Admin, development and IBM teams to discuss the critical issues.
• Troubleshooting the issues - PING test, TCP connection test, Error generate report and Packet capture.
• Firmware upgrade for existing servers - From old version to new version.
• Strong knowledge on IBM Websphere Interchange
• Provided support in a demanding 24 / 7 Production Environment.
• Knowledge on Installing WCS commerce instances.
• Generate in Heap Dumps and Thread Dumps for analyzing JVM crashes.
• Good knowledge on JVM internals as Web container, EJB container, JNDI.
• Experience in using trouble shooting tools like IBM Heap Analyzer, Pattern Modeling and Analysis Tool for Java Garbage collector, IBM Thread and Monitor dump analysis Tool as well as traces, logs, heap dumps and core dumps.
• Interaction and co-ordination with different teams for supporting various environments like DEV, TEST, QA / PRE-Production and Production.

Need to trouble shoot on various problems in different stages of production using logs files like JVM logs(SystemOut.log, SystemErr.log), Trace logs, FFDC logs, Webserver logs(access.log, error.log), http_plugin.log, Process logs(native_stdout.log, native_stderr.log).
