Automation Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to lead the integration and commissioning of advanced automation systems in our innovative Medical Device manufacturing operations. What You'll Do

  • Spearhead the integration and commissioning of automation machinery from global vendors as we transition from manual production to a fully automated manufacturing process.
  • Conduct OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust control systems (PLCs, HMIs) tailored to Medical Device production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth machine integration and optimized workflows.
  • Develop and maintain detailed automation protocols and SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation and process innovation.
  • Oversee qualification and validation of new automated systems.
  • Train and support operations teams on new technologies and systems.
  • Ensure all automation activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor system performance and report on key metrics like yield, efficiency, and reliability.

What You Bring

  • Proven expertise in automation engineering, including PLC programming and controls integration.
  • Hands-on experience with RSLogix and control system integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience in automation, manufacturing, or process engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical analysis.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. as defined by immigration regulations.
  • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00 / hr.
