Position Information Position Title Program Coordinator-Artful Worship Grant (Part-Time) UIW Mission University of the Incarnate Word is a Catholic institution that welcomes to its community persons of diverse backgrounds, in the belief that their respectful interaction advances the discovery of truth, mutual understanding, self-realization, and the common good. Position Summary The Program Coordinator-Artful Worship Grant provides vital coordination and administrative support for a multi-year, arts-based faith formation initiative centered on the Catholic imagination. The Program Coordinator reports to the Project Director.

This is a part-time grant-funded position with approved funding through August 1, 2030. Position may become full-time after one year. This position may be shortened or extended based on funds availability and the needs of the department. Benefits This position is not benefits eligible. Job Duties Job Duty Name Essential Job Duties Description of Job Duties

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Artful Worship grant.
  • Coordinate and execute events and programming to include scheduling, reserving spaces, preparing materials, and liaising with faculty, students, and external partners.
  • Assist with tracking project expenditures, processing stipends and reimbursements, and maintaining compliance with UIW and grant guidelines.
  • Assist with grant reporting.
  • Manage communications to include internal / external communications, progress reports, meeting agendas, and updates for grant stakeholders.
  • Assist in bringing the project’s mission to life through organized, creative, and collaborative support.
  • Maintain Artful Worship website and resource hub that will serve UIW, parish communities, and Brainpower schools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, as well as ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong budget management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience working collaboratively across departments or with community organizations.
  • Familiarity with Catholic liturgy or education and / or interest in arts-based ministry is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University.
  • Required Education Bachelor’s Degree. Required Work Experience Two (2) years of program / project coordination experience in a professional, academic, or nonprofit setting. Note that administrative support experience in a complex office environment will be considered in lieu of said experience. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Arts Administration, English, Communication, Religious Studies, Ministry, or a related field.
  • Grants management experience in a higher education or arts / nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
  • Familiarity with Catholic ministries, children’s programming, or arts education.
  • Proficiency in MS Teams.
  • Proficiency in Canva.
  • Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None specified. Work Hours

  • Typical 20-25 hours per week within standard work schedule of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental / grant goals.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed for event execution.
  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs for table set-up / tear-down at events.
  • Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve event materials.
  • Ability to push / pull equipment carts holding up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential / current students, and event attendees (including children) as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
