About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Staff Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at a state-operated mental health facility in Missouri. The psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, managing long-term inpatient caseloads, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, recovery-oriented care. The ideal candidate will be able to assess, diagnose, and treat complex psychiatric conditions and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment practices within a forensic psychiatric environment.

• Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license.
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• DEA
• BLS, & ACLS certification.
• Experience with serious mental illness and forensic psychiatric populations preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term psychiatric treatment, psychopharmacology, and behavioral interventions.
• Familiarity with legal patient classifications, including NGRI, VBG, PIST, and SVP status.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychology, nursing, social work, pharmacy, and medical staff.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, conditional / unconditional release assessments, and court-related documentation.
