Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Supervisor assists and directs the Environmental Services Techs in cleaning and maintaining patient rooms offices and public areas.

objectives.

a. Cleans and checks assigned areas by washing furnishings floors and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.

b. Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.

c. Cleans spills in patient and non patient areas as necessary.

d. Cleans and polishes all metal; washes walls and beds as necessary.

e. Scours sanitizes and polishes tubs sinks mirrors toilets urinals and similar equipment; replenishes supplies of soap towels and other disposable items.

a. Checks completion of work in order to ensure the hospital is in a clean and sanitary condition.

b. Instructs new employees in job routine and expectations.

c. Maintains necessary records and reports as to quantity quality and timeliness of work done in the department.
