The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Analytics, this position's primary responsibilities will include leading the asset management strategy development and performance analysis for the customer solutions group. This individual will be leading a team focused on account management strategies supporting early to late stage collections, including contact strategies and channels, and improving the portfolio performance through champion / challenger campaigns. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated and detail oriented. The position will lead a team and work with key leaders within the Asset Management organization, as well as partner groups such as finance, compliance, legal, risk and technology.
The Work Itself
- Own the roadmap for Ally Auto Customer Solutions Strategy and Analytics, and prioritize initiatives working with key stakeholders.
- Lead a team focused on improving portfolio performance by changing collections treatment strategies, champion the change across the organization.
- Lead analytics around delinquent portfolio performance, focused on finding opportunities to improve performance through risk segmentation and treatment changes.
- Manage the priorities using sound control processes (daily / weekly / monthly) to effectively identify, assess and manage risk.
- Collaboratively work with matrix & vendor partners to ensure alignment with Ally’s strategic imperatives.
- Influence the roadmap and priorities of other partner groups by proactive engagement on topics related to customer solutions strategy.
The Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics or a similar discipline with quantitative focus required, Master’s degree preferred.5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on data / statistical analysis, ideally experienced in treatment strategies with a champion / challenger (test / control) framework.Leadership experience requiredExperience and knowledge of consumer financing industry preferred (e.g. auto, card, mortgage etc.)Demonstrate a solid understanding of data mining and classification techniques : experience using SAS / SQL or similar tools for data analysis and portfolio segmentation requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present proposals and vision to executive leadership.Experience working with (and ability to influence) matrix partners that impact change capability, such as IT, Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management and Operations.Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; should be a critical thinker with strong attention to details.Advanced knowledge of statistics and quantitative models preferred.LI-Hybrid
