Health Informatics Research Scientist

A company is looking for a Health Informatics Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate research topics and develop computational methods to address challenges in the Medicare and health insurance sector

Design, test, and evaluate algorithms and machine learning models for health data analysis and predictive modeling

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research findings into practical solutions and present recommendations to management

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field

Minimum two years of experience in the Medicare space with algorithm and machine learning model development

Experience in querying and interpreting large healthcare datasets such as claims and Electronic Health Records

Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, and DOMO for data visualization and reporting

Knowledge of Medicare and HIPAA regulations, healthcare data standards, and insurance processes
