About the Role

The Managing Director - Head of Technology will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the technology practice within the investment-banking team, leading the origination and execution of deals in the technology sector (including SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity and IT services). You will manage client relationships at senior levels, lead deal teams from pitch through execution, and develop the firm's technology vertical by expanding its service offering and internal capabilities. You will also mentor and guide junior and mid-level bankers, shape the firm-wide strategy for the technology sector, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (legal, tax, capital markets) and contribute to thought leadership that enhances the firm's market position. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree (an advanced degree is preferred) and bring a minimum of 10 years' investment banking experience, ideally with a strong focus on the technology sector. You should have a proven track record of leading M&A or capital-markets transactions in technology, excellent client-facing and leadership skills, the ability to build and grow a practice, and an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with a fast-paced, high-growth middle-market investment-banking environment.
