Ensign Services, Inc. (ESI) seeks an experienced Construction Market Leader to serve the needs of our rapidly expanding company base across the United States. This position will be remote in California and serve certain markets where ESI’s clients have operations.

About The Company

ESI serves over 361 post-acute care operations across 17 states, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and other ancillary service providers. These operations have no corporate headquarters or traditional management hierarchy. Instead, they operate independently with support from the “Service Center,” a world-class service team that provides centralized legal, human resource, training, accounting, information technology and other resources necessary to allow on-site leaders and caregivers to focus on day-to-day care and business issues.

Purpose of Your Position

The Construction Market Leader position is a leadership and mentoring role focused on promoting the “Ensign” culture and overseeing all construction-related activities within your assigned market. You will guide and support Construction Resource (CR’s), including those in dual roles, ensuring projects align with company policies, procedures, and all applicable local and state codes and regulations. This role is critical in driving discussions around return on investment for large-scale projects, managing CapEx budgets, and developing comprehensive 5-year preventative maintenance plans for each facility. Your efforts will ensure the successful execution of projects from pre-development through completion, focusing on risk analysis, scope development, architectural planning, bidding, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 plus years of OSHPD / HCAi experience is a must.
• Skilled Nursing and Senior housing experience preferred. Healthcare construction is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex situations regarding compliance and legal matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify, analyze, and provide solutions to but not limited to healthcare facilities maintenance and safety-related issues.
• Strong understanding of facilities maintenance, equipment and systems, fire safety, and hazardous conditions that can exist in and around Skilled Nursing and Senior Care facilities.
• Ability to successfully collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare operators, owners, resources, and vendor partners.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team that has both a direct and dotted line to your team.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to self-direct and self-start on complex tasks, thrive in a fast-paced working environment, and effectively solve problems while working with a team.
