    Middle School Science

    Cambridge Friends School is accepting applications for a .75 FTE Middle School Science teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. The School is seeking applicants who genuinely love working with middle school-age students. A successful candidate will carry out all responsibilities necessary to teach in our small, inclusive school, including, but not limited to, the following : documenting curriculum, developing lesson plans, implementing differentiated instruction, managing the classroom and behavior, communicating with families, and participating fully in the life of the School. Candidates should have a bachelor's in education or a related field (master’s preferred) and experience teaching. This position has the potential to be full-time for the candidate who can contribute additional skills to the life of the school (i.e., coaching, additional supervision duties, etc.)

    Job Requirements include :

    • Experience working with and knowledge of the developmental needs of middle school children
    • Demonstrated knowledge of “best practices” in teaching and learning
    • Demonstrated background in science, either through coursework or work experience
    • Familiarity with Next Generation Standards (NGSS) philosophy and standards, able to work in the four domains of science at all grade levels
    • Working knowledge of project-based learning
    • Ability and desire to challenge and support students at all levels
    • Proficiency with the purposeful use of digital technologies
    • Committed to collaborating and working as part of the middle school team
    • Demonstrably strong classroom management
    • Familiarity with Responsive Classroom and Restorative Justice practices
    • Able to communicate effectively with families, both in person and in writing
    • Committed to the creation and sustainability of an inclusive, antiracist, antihomophobic, equitable learning environment for all students
    • A willingness to understand and incorporate relevant Quaker practices and pedagogy

      Pay : $50,000.00 - $85,000 per school year based on experience
