Position Overview : The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an essential member of the home care team, working closely under the guidance of registered nurses and therapists. This role focuses on providing compassionate personal care services that address the specific needs of patients, promoting their well-being and comfort.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
- Assist patients with dressing, undressing, nail and skin care, and toileting activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly living environment for patients.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals, and assist in feeding as needed.
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as ordered.
- Help patients with ambulation and exercise as part of their care plan.
- Perform range of motion exercises and simple procedures as directed.
- Support patients in self-administering medications as required.
- Handle laundry and other household tasks relevant to patient care.
- Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment like foot stools and side rails.
- Report any changes in the patient’s condition to the assigned nurse.
- Document care provided in accordance with organizational standards and attend periodic training sessions.
- Participate in scheduled case conferences with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress.

Requirements :
Completion of a state-approved training and competency evaluation program for nursing assistants.Minimum age of 18 years.Ability to read, follow instructions, and document care accurately.Self-motivation and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.Empathetic approach towards the ill, injured, frail, and impaired individuals.Current CPR certification.Demonstrated tact, patience, and proper personal hygiene.Valid driver’s license with insurance in accordance with organizational requirements.Please note, the Certified Nursing Assistant will not engage in nursing practices as defined by the State's Nurse Practice Act, including administering medications or undertaking procedures requiring nursing skills.
