Civil Engineer

Insight Global is working with a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm local to St. Louis with a small group of about 12 people. With over 28 years in business, we offer a wide variety of engineering and surveying services which include Land Planning, Rezoning, Commercial Site Plans, Construction Drawings, Permit Processing, Construction Inspections, Development Cost Estimates, Public Hearing and Planning Presentations, Hydrology and Flood Studies, along with Drone Photography and Lidar. Many of our Clients come from a wide variety of fields, which include Land Developers, Construction Companies, Real Estate Market, Banking Institutions, Schools, Municipalities, and Businesses of all sizes and Individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Design, management and production of construction plans for various projects, including industrial, commercial, and educational

Preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid specifications

Performing site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction

Reviewing and processing contractor submittals

Preparing site investigation and development feasibility reports

Maintaining project documentation

Assist in developing project scopes and schedules

Communicate and maintain good client communication

Perform quantity takeoffs, shop drawing review, and prepare bid specifications

Perform quality control review of design projects

Present projects to clients, agencies, municipalities, and the general public.

Minimum Requirements

B.S. in Civil Engineering

P.E. registration or ability to obtain P.E. registration

5 to 15 years’ experience in Civil Engineering design related projects

Design experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3Dand HEC-RAS software

Familiarity with local agency approval processes a plus, but not required
