Job Summary / Basic Function

Provide support to students faculty and Chair in the department of Mathematical Sciences. Provide clerical support and record keeping for actuarial science program. Greet visitors / answer questions or direct to appropriate resources. Answer phone and respond to emails. Coordinate with department faculty and local high schools to arrange informational and recruiting visits. Maintain the department website work with ITD department chair and faculty to assess needs and incorporate updates. Coordinate administration of common finals. Coordinate logistics for regional mathematics contest. Work with faculty coordinators to develop work assignments for tutoring labs. Cross train to provide assistance as required in the absence of other department secretarial staff. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

Required Related Experience

Two years of secretarial / clerical office experience; a minimum of an Associates degree (two (2) years of related college coursework) may be considered in lieu of experience.

Desirable Related Experience

Prior office experience in higher education preferred.
