Property And Evidence Technician
The Denver Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Property and Evidence Technician. As a Property and Evidence Technician, you will receive and verify evidence and property from police officers, court employees, and lab technicians ensuring items are properly packaged, tagged, and invoiced.
The Denver Police Department is the largest and most active Police Department in the state. The Denver Police Evidence and Property Section is a critical support unit providing 24 hour a day access for police officers, district attorney investigators, and other authorized persons, as well as service to the public during designated hours. The Evidence and Property Section is responsible for the preservation of all evidence coming into the possession of the Denver Police Department.
This position will require you to work on one of two shift rotations during training. Once training is completed you will be assigned to a specific shift, though changes in schedules can occur.
The Evidence and Property Section is staffed by essential personnel. You must be available to work various shift schedules, which includes evenings, overnights, weekends, and some holidays. Shift preferences are voted by seniority, but the needs of the Evidence and Property Section take priority.
