Summary

Kelly Science is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer for a growing company located in Boston, MA to drive innovation in bioengineering, NAMs and mini‑heart technologies. The CSO will lead the internal R&D pipeline, craft scientific strategy, and ensure the company remains a global leader in advancing cardiac disease modeling and mini‑heart technology validations. This executive role offers the rare opportunity to shape the future of cardiac research and make a lasting impact on healthcare innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and lead the company's long‑term scientific vision and strategic direction.
• Develop and execute strategies for the company's mini‑heart technology, focusing on cardiac diseases and toxicity testing.
• Oversee all scientific research activities, ensuring rigor, compliance, and excellence in laboratory operations.
• Lead, mentor, and recruit multidisciplinary scientific teams to foster innovation and collaboration.
• Drive intellectual property creation, patent filings, and IP protection strategies.
• Represent the company externally through publications, conference presentations, and engagement with advisory boards.
• Translate laboratory discoveries into marketable products and services for clients, including pharmaceutical partners.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (internally and externally) to ensure successful commercialization of scientific products and technologies, aligning scientific objectives with market needs.
