Job Description :

Morris and Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Buyer 1.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Purchase assigned MRO and commodities such as materials, components, supplies at most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, delivery, and other factors
  • Evaluate and recommend sources of materials and supplies consistent with pricing and quality goals
  • Evaluate materials needs and execute timely purchases to support customer orders and inventory plans
  • Work to continually improve processes and procedures for best effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely order confirmations and deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, resolve order discrepancies, and track shipments.

Qualifications :

  • One + years of experience in purchasing preferred
  • Associate or bachelors degree in business or supply chain preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Windows environment (Word, Excel, Explorer) a plus
  • Familiarity with ERP / MRP system in manufacturing environment, strongly preferred (Syspro a plus) - 1 year preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
