THE POSITION

As the Principal Application / System Sales Engineer , you will be the key technical expert accountable for creating and documenting standard applications and reference architectures to drive sales in your assigned vertical market. You will work closely with the sales and sales support teams to comprehend customer needs, develop customized solutions, and deliver impactful product demonstrations and presentations. Your deep knowledge of the company's products and their applications, combined with your ability to effectively communicate the value proposition, will be instrumental in driving sales growth. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance, conduct trainings, and build strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure successful solution development and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design the extra low voltage system infrastructure of a customer facility, including all relevant interfaces.
• Own, document and maintain design choices with the related functional and financial impact.
• Support development of the technical relationship with end-clients, consultants and contractors.
• Support the sales organization to enable the further development of global named accounts.
• Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements, developing tailored engineering solutions based on customer requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Strategic Sales, Offering Management, Solutions Consulting and Engineering to define system architecture, technical specifications, and integration requirements
• Analyze customer applications and desired outcomes to develop optimal technical solutions.
• Support sales function, including review of customer RFQs, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in conferences to present and explain solution concepts, value propositions, and technical differentiation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies in respective vertical.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $154,000 - $193,000 . For Washington, and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $177,000 - $222,000 . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
