The Estimator I or II is responsible for preparing estimates for projects, mainly design-build, which may include preliminary pricing through full estimates.

The Estimator I or II must develop strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and complete pricing for all estimates.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with Project Managers.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or superintendents to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.

Required Skills :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related technical field
  • 5+ years of related estimating experience.
  • 1+ years of field experience preferred.
