TITLE : HRIS Data Specialist
JOB OVERVIEW : The HRIS Data Specialist serves as the front-line administrator and internal contact for the HR information system and data processing function for the Human Resources Department, including entering, maintaining, auditing, and processing sensitive data.

WORK HOURS : Typically, Monday - Friday; hours may vary to meet department needs
REPORTS TO : Director, Total Rewards
PREREQUISITES :
Associates degree with major coursework in information systems, computer science, data mining, or related field, required. An additional four years of relevant and applicable experience may replace degree requirement.
Minimum two years of direct experience with high volume of data processing / entry, analyzing data, and reporting, required.
Minimum two years' experience in a human resources function, preferred.
Experience with Infor / Lawson or Kronos HRIS systems strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Advanced skills in Excel to create macros, functions, formulas, pivot tables, and perform lookups.
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
Proven time management and prioritization skills to make efficient, logical decisions in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities
Proven experience establishing strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, utilizing clear and effective communication and documentation skills
Ability to use sound judgment in making decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information
Able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management team members.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies :
Serves as the primary recipient of organization-wide HR Action Forms.
Ensures the timely and accurate input of employee data changes into the HRIS
Works with HR staff to validate the accurate completion or routing of each form based on HR processes.
Maintains impeccable records of change and request approvals.
Ensures the highest level of accuracy for data entered into HR data systems to ensure successful data audits.
Audits data entry in HRIS on a regular basis to review data accuracy and compliance.
Acts as the initial escalation point for data corrections that are required in the Infor database; escalates further if necessary and executes approved corrections.
Provides HRIS data support for Human Resources staff, all associate end-users, and members of senior management.
Plans and implements recordkeeping processes for permanent personnel records.
Assists with preparing HR metrics to be presented at monthly, quarterly, and annual senior leadership meetings.
Participate in the creation of new queries and reports as needed.
Initiates technology service requests to revise or develop existing or new HRIS modules for processing data, reports, or payments.
Assists with the support of all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to data requests, including but not limited to data availability, feasibility of requests, ad-hoc reports, and technical support.
Adheres to organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
Uses functional and technical knowledge to provide end-users with general guidance and informal training as needed.
Assists with creating internal training tools and process manuals for staff to maximize effective use of the HRIS system.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
