Responsibilities

Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Assist the agent in establishing and achieving marketing goals.

Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.

Requirements

Sales experience (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing) preferred

Proven track record of meeting sales goals / quotas preferred

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)

Enthusiasm for insurance and financial products and their role in helping people manage risks, recover from setbacks, and achieve their dreams

People-oriented and self-motivated

Ability to make presentations to potential customers

Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)

Life and Health license (must be able to obtain)

Commitment to staying current with product changes, licensing, technical developments, and continuing education

Additional Information

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not directly with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must meet licensing requirements and complete necessary training. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. Compensation ranges from $32,000 to $60,000 per year.
