Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the organization to patients who visit for diagnostic testing and routine health care needs. The PSR I is responsible for collecting and preparing quality blood specimens , maintaining patient confidence, and providing a professional, safe, and accurate collection experience. This role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities :
- Perform specimen collection and processing duties according to clinical and forensic standards.
- Provide professional and compassionate care, ensuring patient comfort and safety during blood draws.
- Verify patient identity and sample labeling to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Maintain all required documentation and records per laboratory procedures.
- Promote a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Comply with all health, safety, and quality control regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus and uphold the company’s core values of integrity and excellence.
Required Experience :
Minimum months of phlebotomy experience required; + year preferred.Prior customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments preferred.Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required.Education & Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification required (Massachusetts).Required Skills :
