Join Our Dynamic Operating Room Team!

We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist I to become part of our exceptional team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, located at 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215. In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in providing critical surgical care and making a positive impact on patients' lives.

Schedule :

Full-time evening shifts (8 or 10 hours), Monday to Friday, with some on-call requirements, primarily overnight and occasional weekends.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and assist in maintaining a sterile environment while supporting surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the operating room is fully equipped and ready for each case, demonstrating expert knowledge of surgical techniques.
  • Act as a Second Assistant as needed, assisting the surgical team in various roles.
  • Transport patients and manage equipment effectively.
  • Maintain specialty carts and track inventory to ensure all necessary supplies are on hand.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of hire.
  • No prior experience is necessary, but a passion for patient care and teamwork is essential.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs and perform various physically demanding tasks regularly.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment, requiring excellent communication and adaptability.
