About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to take on a strategic leadership role in financial operations and planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial guidance to the Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership, ensuring that financial strategies align with the organization's goals. This includes collaborating with the Finance & Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, developing and managing financial models, and overseeing daily accounting operations. The VP of Finance will also lead the annual budgeting process, implement and maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least 10 years' experience in finance and accounting, including 5 years in a management role. Extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, financial reporting, and compliance is essential. The role requires a proven track record in advising on financial strategy, leading budgeting processes, and managing external audits. Strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical abilities, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel are also necessary. The VP of Finance will be expected to mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and to evaluate and enhance financial processes through the use of technology.
