Drivetrain Engineering Test Technician ​

What you will be doing

  • Set-up, monitoring, and tear down of lab engineering tests
  • Test fixture development
  • Support of prototype system and vehicle builds
  • Vehicle instrumentation installation and removal
  • Test data collection and analysis
  • General equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Working closely with the Advanced Engineering Manager and is provided direction for daily / weekly schedules and planning

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas :

  • Electronics OR controls background
  • Drivetrain
  • Electronic braking systems
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems
  • Vehicle electrical wire harness design, prototyping & installation

  • What you'll need to be successful :

  • Drivetrain technician training / certification or college degree (associates, bachelors); hands-on transmission / braking system experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems with hands on experience in vehicle electrical wire harness design, prototyping & installation
  • Good communicator – written and verbal
  • Heart of a teacher / mentor to teach other team members on electronics
  • An effective problem solver who is comfortable using analytical tools.
  • Eager to learn; ask questions
  • Self-motivated
  • Self-manage and communicate what they are working on and issues discovered
  • Ability to work in a team environment
