Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. In this role, you will assist clients with their tax preparation needs while adhering to established policies and procedures. This position requires strong knowledge of tax regulations and exceptional attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities :

• Input client financial data into tax preparation software with precision.
• Prepare tax returns in compliance with firm policies and industry standards.
• Follow established tax practices and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain the confidentiality of client information by adhering to company protocols.
• Support clients with inquiries related to tax documents, including W2s and Form 1099.
• Conduct tax projections and provide insights on annual tax obligations.
• Utilize ATX Tax Software to manage workflows efficiently.
• Assist in preparing income tax provisions and related documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation and related processes.
• Proficiency with ATX Tax Software or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with W2s, Form 1099, and other essential tax documents.
• Strong understanding of annual tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to perform accurate tax projections and analyze income tax provisions.
• Excellent customer support skills to address client inquiries effectively.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Relevant certifications or education in accounting or tax preparation preferred.
