Civil Designer

Job Summary

A growing civil engineering firm in Boise, ID is seeking a Civil Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar, and have a background in AutoCAD or electrical lighting design. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Location : Boise, Idaho | Job Type : Permanent | Salary : $45,000–$85,000 per year | Work Hours : 8am–5pm | Education : Associates (required)

Responsibilities

Prepare design plans and construction documents for roadway and parking lot lighting, traffic signals, signing and striping layouts and traffic control plans.

Conduct photometric analyses, vehicle path analyses and perform alignment studies.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure scope of work, schedule, and quality standards from initial design through final production.

Assist in project development by supporting field investigations, preparing design justifications, and coordinating with public agencies and stakeholders.

Requirements

AS or BS in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.

Software proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Entry level experience, minimum 2 years of experience.

Education : Associates (required).

Skills

Electrical – 2 years of experience preferred.

AutoCAD – 2 years of experience preferred.
