Job Description

The Graphic Designer I, under general supervision, supports graphic design and photography projects for marketing and communications needs, including designing promotional materials for the university and editing graphics / photos for use in multimedia, web sites, and other purposes.

Responsibilities

• Design promotional brochures, posters, digital signage, newsletters, graphic marks, and other printed materials for recruitment, retention, and marketing initiatives.
• Create effective and accessible graphic interfaces for web sites, pages and applications.
• Produce motion graphics for web sites and multimedia presentations as needed.
• Maintain documentation for each project, including approvals, comments, drafts and artwork.
• Collaborate with university customers from concept to creation and support.
• Serve as a technical resource in graphics and publication design software, hardware and techniques.
• Work with the university’s digital signage software.
• Act as the university’s principal photographer for events and studio photography.
