Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in New York, New York.

Job Description :

The ICU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to critically ill or injured patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, operating life-support equipment, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN maintains accurate documentation, follows hospital protocols, and provides compassionate support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and vital signs.
  • Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Operate and manage ventilators and other critical care equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions.
  • Collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions.

    • Requirements :

  • Active RN license (NY).
  • Minimum 2 year of ICU or critical care experience.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
