Demonstrated leadership experience in managing effective maintenance discipline with the application of engineering concepts to drive excellence in operational support is a critical success factor.
Responsibilities
What you will do!
- Develop and drive a world-class maintenance organization to meet plant wide operational needs
- Responsible for the safety and environmental compliance within the department and the broader facility
- Instill capability to manage and streamline multiple priorities through the use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Manages day-to-day maintenance related issues, invest in resources and capability to proactively monitor equipment reliability and predictive maintenance techniques to maximize equipment uptime
- Establish and maintain equipment vendor, contractor, and other supplier relationships to reduce lead-times during urgent situations, develops strong rapport with operations leadership staff and associates
- Maintains a health scorecard for key critical equipment and assess capital appropriation needs accordingly
- Implements best practice solutions and leverages those across multiple facets of the organization
- Develops a collaborative and effective team-based environment, responsible for maintaining a training curriculum and providing new training development where gaps might persist
- Create and maintain a proper succession plan, evaluate departmental organizational structure, and utilize the apprenticeship program to establish a bench of future talent
- Meets financial targets of the department including budgets and cost savings opportunities, develop and manage to a set of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Serves as the source of communication within the department to ensure leadership messages, company strategies and initiatives are properly communicated to direct reports
- Owns and coordinates planned shutdown / startup activities as required by operations
- May be assigned other projects and tasks as necessary
Qualifications
What you need!
Strong knowledge of both maintenance and engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Proven competencies in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited college or university5+ years related experience and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.licenses or certifications in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Safety, OSHA, etc. preferred.Injection Molding experience preferredInterpretation Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, equipment manuals, and other related documentation. Ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
Work Environment :
