Human Resource Specialist
Ocean Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader is searching for a Human Resource Specialist to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head, in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant shall provide professional assistance to managers and employees in various personnel areas of human resources to include : recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management / awards, employee benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.
Position Requirements :
- Inputting / extracting / compiling information in / from various data systems, preparing and routing personnel actions, assisting managers with writing performance objectives / expectations, position descriptions, and addendums.
- Preparing career ladder requirements for the different job series in the office, preparing and updating letters and correspondence with proper grammar and formatting following guidance outlined in the Navy Correspondence Manual.
- Creating and maintaining multiple appointments, meeting requests, and calendars in Microsoft Outlook.
- Copying and filing, scanning documents, answering phone calls and visitors appropriately, or taking messages as necessary.
- Assisting specialists within the office on human resources-related tasks.
Position Requirements :
BA in human resources, management, business administration, or other relevant fields. 8 years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of human resources, organizational processes, and functions, with a minimum of 5 years in a Federal Agency environment.Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills.Knowledge of DoD and Navy processes, specifically related to Human Resources, is preferred.An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Position located in Indian Head, MD.
