Accounting Director

Description

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Accounting to lead the day-to-day operations of our client's Accounting Department. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals and ensuring that financial processes and reporting are executed in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department and supervise assigned staff.
• Provide accounting support for organizational initiatives including new products / services, system upgrades, mergers / acquisitions, and expenditures.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting infrastructure and general ledger systems.
• Ensure accurate financial transaction recording and compliance with applicable standards.
• Stay current with changes in accounting pronouncements and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance on financial statement preparation, budgeting, and asset / liability management.
• Lead staff training, development, and performance management.
• Implement cost- and time-saving processes to enhance departmental efficiency.

Requirements - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification.
