Night Shift Visual Weld Inspector Job at Hammer Haag Steel Inc in Clearwater

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Visual Weld Inspector for our night shift. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all welded structures meet our quality standards. You'll be responsible for performing visual inspections of welded assemblies, project specifications, and Hammer Haag Steel's internal quality system.

Shift : 4 : 00 PM - 1 : 30 AM (9-hour shift, Monday-Friday with 30 min break)

Department : Quality Assurance

Reports To : Lead QA Inspector or Quality Manager

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welds on structural and miscellaneous steel
• Verify weld sizes, quality, and overall appearance according to job requirements
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and shop sketches
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with welders, fitters, and supervisors to communicate findings
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer specifications
• Support a safe and organized work environment
