Job Summary

McGrath Honda of Elgin is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to join our team of dedicated automotive professionals.

The right candidate will assist in the repair, service, and maintenance of our used cars, ensuring that all vehicles meet the highest customer standards for quality and performance.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a base plus commission compensation package, including paid vacation and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, and suspension issues related to used car repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine necessary repairs
• Complete vehicle repairs in a timely manner following established procedural guidelines
• Must be able to identify necessary force, equipment, and parts needed for repair
• Ensure accuracy of all repairs and inspect quality of workmanship
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment in compliance with safety regulations
• Keep accurate records of all service and repair work performed
• Other duties as assigned
