Metric5 is currently seeking a highly skilled GIS developer. This role involves developing and maintaining GIS applications and tools to support our client spatial data needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with GIS technologies and programming experience.

Responsibilities :

Develop, maintain and update Geographic Information System (GIS) databases; obtain

data from city, state, federal and private sources; receive and review maps, land parcel records and

engineering documents. Identify pertinent GIS information and convert data into proper GIS formats.

Ensure accuracy and completeness; enter data into databases; and update essential GIS layers and

databases. Create a variety of maps and GIS related documents. Provide expertise in GIS hardware

and software products. Provide technical support to GIS users.

Required skills / Level of Experience :

1. Experience with GIS development tools, including ESRI ArcPro, ArcPy, and Open-source GIS GeoPandas

2. Experience with C++, C# and Python

3. Experience with SQL

4. Excellent communication skills.

5. Possession or ability to obtain and maintain the required a favorably adjudicated DHS Public Trust background investigation.

Preferred Skills / Level of Experience :

1. Familiarity with SAFe® Agile frameworks.

2. Familiarity with Git

3. Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices

4. Experience building and deploying desktop applications
