Studios & Broadcast Services is looking for a creative, hands-on Assistant Video Cinematographer to help produce stunning video content that captures the spirit and stories of the university. In this on-site role, you’ll operate high-end cinema and broadcast cameras (such as Alexa, RED, and Sony), assist with lighting, grip, and basic audio setups, and support live broadcasts as a camera operator. You’ll work with a talented team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, using professional-grade equipment and gaining real-world experience in both cinematic and broadcast production. Responsibilities
- Operates cinema and broadcast television cameras.
- Responsible for setup and strike of equipment.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance and care.
- Responsible for the download and upload of assets.
- Implements the editing, color correction, and audio mixing of product.
- Responsible for studio organization and maintenance of equipment.
Education
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree or any combination of education and / or full-time experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling two years.
Knowledge
Knowledge of production techniques, tools, and style as it relates to camera work and lighting.Knowledge of various cameras, lenses, light, and color temperature meters, slates, grip / utility gear, asset management, setup, and strike of equipment, and on-set protocol.Basic understanding of microphones and audio signals.Skills
Operation of various cameras, including RED, Sony, and others.Operation of dollies and other camera support equipment.Skilled in setting up standard and complex lighting scenarios.Operation of a drone (FCC licensed) preferred.Skilled in organizing and maintaining video production equipment and facilities.Abilities
Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Ability to operate camera equipment.Ability to work well with others.Ability to create and follow a production schedule, effectively manage workload, and meet deadlines.Ability to work and contribute as a team member in a collaborative work environment.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.#J-18808-Ljbffr
