About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Construction to take on a pivotal role in the oversight of all construction operations within its regional portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading both in-house construction teams and third-party general contractors across multiple high-density residential projects. This executive-level position demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in preconstruction planning, value engineering, subcontractor negotiations, and cost control initiatives. The role also involves maintaining direct accountability for project budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance, as well as fostering long-term relationships with external partners and ensuring a safety-first culture. Applicants for the Vice President of Construction role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in construction, with a specific focus on high-density multifamily or mixed-use development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, a deep understanding of preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, and value engineering, and prior experience with regional P&L responsibility and team management. A Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, architecture, or business is required, along with exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. The role is critical to the success of the company's construction division, and the Vice President will be expected to champion a culture of safety and compliance while driving the strategic growth of the business.
